We have both been offered jobs in Montgomery, Alabama with a nonprofit organization called E.A.T. South. We will be teaching people about eating fresh, healthy food at the urban gardens downtown and in the Hampstead area of Montgomery, and we are super excited to start working there!
Sara will be focusing on developing curriculum and lesson plans with the Education Director, and Jesse will be working in the gardens with the farm managers. This will be a fantastic way for Him to work through us in a new city-- there is so much potential for spreading the Good News in Montgomery, and we can't wait to see what He does through us! We are starting work next week (hopefully, if they figure out all of the paperwork through Americorps), so we have been apartment/house searching this week. We will stay in touch once everything is settled, and we would appreciate upward thoughts for everything to go smoothly with moving.
