During the Chinese New Year holiday, we had some time to travel. Asian countries are relatively cheap to visit, so we wanted to use our time off well. We planned to spend a few days in Kaohsiung, Tai---n for after our organization's annual Thailand conference. Sara's grandfather has a law partner whose in-laws work in Kaohsiung, and they asked us to visit if we ever got the chance. This was the perfect opportunity!
Visiting Reverand and Mrs. Kim was a blessing to us. They hosted us in their Fellowship guest room, encouraged us, and allowed us to share what He is doing both to a small group and to the whole group. They constantly showered us with hospitality. It was wonderful to see how their Fellowship shares love in their community and around the world, and it was great to meet all of their tight-knit group. From a farm picnic to exploring the city with some of the younger members to fellowshipping with their group all day on Valentine's Day, we enjoyed our stay more than the Kim family will ever realize!
We were inspired to hope and work for that same kind of community on our own team in Dujiangyan, because we are way more effective if we are open with each other and work together for the same Purpose.

| Day 1: Picnic at a Fellowship member's family farm. They had fruit trees, cherry tomatoes, greens, and so many more delicious foods growing, along with some ducks and geese. We thought of our friends at EAT South! |

| Hao chi (good eating)! |
| This was near the Kims' fellowship, where we stayed in the guest room. We had some time to explore by ourselves on night, and we loved the lights in this art structure. |
| The beach was nice! Dark sand, but it was really soft. |
| Our lovely hostesses from the Kim family's Fellowship. They showed us around the city and helped us understand the people in Kaohsiung a little better. |
| Famous subway station at the center of the city |
| This park reminds me of something Birmingham, AL or Atlanta, GA would have :) |
| We got to hang out with a teammate's friend from the States. Fifi and her husband were sweet to show us around the city and take us to dinner. |
| Modern city with some traditional parts mixed in. We loved visiting Kaohsiung! |
